Fanfare Ciocarlia
The Moldavian kings of Balkan Brass return to Copenhagen after celebrating their 25th anniversary with a completely sold-out concert last year. The band has recently released the album "It Wasn't Hard to Love You" (2021) - a declaration of love to their fans after 25 years on the road. It will be a blast from another world when the legends Fanfare Ciocarlia occupy the Copenhagen Distillery venue in October.
Fanfare Ciocarlia
The 12-member orchestra can rightly be called legends, who could even celebrate their 25th anniversary in 2022 when they played a sold-out concert at ALICE. Fanfare Ciocarlia saw the light of day in a small village in the Romanian part of Moldavia, but already from the beginning had great ambitions to spread the local music to the whole world, and their music must also be said to have become a global phenomenon. They have contributed to the soundtrack of the latest "Borat" movie, they have performed at the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony and won a host of awards themselves, and their full blown brass riffs have been extensively sampled by several electronic artists. In addition, their music has blared out of loudspeakers at almost every self-respecting Balkan party for the past several years.
