The Courettes
The Courettes have kicked in the door to an international adventure. Their albums have garnered stars and critical acclaim from some of the world's biggest, leading music media, such as American Rolling Stone, CLASH Magazine and MOJO, all the while audiences have fallen in love with the always explosive live duo at venues around the world. With 142 concerts worldwide, just in 2023, it is no coincidence that The Courettes have become known as "The hardest working band in showbiz". But right now Flavia and Martin are looking forward to one thing the most, Denmark in October 2024!
THE COURETTES
The Courettes is an explosive rock duo from Denmark and Brazil who found the perfect blend between garage rock, 60s Girl Group, Wall of Sound, surf music and doo wop. Like The Ronettes meet The Ramones at a wild party at Gold Star Studios echo chamber. Praised by the biggest music magazines around the world, in 2020 the band signed with legendary British label Damaged Goods. Their third album, “Back in Mono” was released in the Fall 2021 and is a truly milestone in the career. The album brings the band in top form, showing great songwriting skills and with broader nuances, influences and sound qualities to their garage rock recipe.
Now The Courettes are back in their own StarrSound Studios to produce their fifth studio album, which will be released in the fall of 2024 on Damaged Goods Records.
The Courettes have played concerts all over Europe and also had a successful first tour in Japan in 2022. They have made their US market debut in 2023 in Austin, Texas, where the band played one of the world's biggest music industry festivals, South By Southwest (SXSW). The successful performance at SXSW was followed by a major tour on the US West Coast in 2023 and on the East Coast in September.
